MAC is seeking local artists for the Northern Spirit Shop. Submit your work in three easy steps!
1. Make an Appointment: Contact the MAC to let us know your preferred date/time for delivery.
2. Inventory: Fill out an Application and Contract for the work you are submitting. All work must be for sale, and the price listed should include MacRostie Art Center’s 40% commission. Print it out or return via email.
3. Deliver: Bring or ship your work and your completed inventory form to MacRostie Art Center no later than Saturday, November 16. Our business hours are Monday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm and Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.

Portrait-themed Group Exhibition at the Reif Gallery

MacRostie Art Center and The Reif Performing Arts Center are excited to announce Portraits, an open-call group exhibition presenting the art of portraiture. Artists of any age and level of experience working in any 2-dimensional medium are invited to submit a theme-appropriate piece, and the exhibition will also feature a collection of portrait paintings by Susan Klann of Bovey, MN.
The exhibition will run from January 13 – March 7, 2025 in the Reif Gallery, located at 720 NW Conifer Drive, Grand Rapids, MN. A public closing reception will be held during the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, March 7 from 4 – 5:30 pm.
Portraits is an open exhibition. Anyone may submit a piece that meets the following requirements:
One theme-appropriate submission per artist
Two-dimensional (wall-hanging) artwork only
No more than 30" in any dimension
Ready to hang
Submissions must be received no later than Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Artists are responsible for the delivery and return of their artwork. Submissions may be delivered to MacRostie Art Center during business hours, Monday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm, or mailed to:

Call for Art: Giinawind Gallery
The Giinawind Creative Space is a program of MacRostie Art Center and a center for Indigenous art and artists in downtown Grand Rapids. We are seeking Indigenous artists interested in exhibiting their work at Giinawind for 2025. Deadline to apply: November 30, 2024.

Description of your proposed exhibit (medium, approximate size and number of works, etc.)
Artist Statement/Biography (include tribal affiliation/enrollment/descendancy information)
Digital images of the work you’d like to exhibit (or similar to work that is being developed)
Submissions will be reviewed as they are received.
