LITTLE BIG SHOW
“Wienerlicious, Mackinaw City, MI” by Ashley Kolka-Lee
Little Big Show is the MAC’s annual miniatures exhibition. A favorite of artists and audiences alike, this exhibition encourages artists to think small!
The exhibition will run from May 2 – June 27, 2025 in the Minnesota Gallery. This year’s featured artist is Ashley Kolka-Lee, a collage artist and MAC program assistant.
Little Big Show is an open exhibition. Anyone may submit a piece that meets the following requirements:
One submission per artist
No more than 10" in any dimension including framing
Priced at no more than $100 (or listed Not for Sale)
Submissions must be received no later than Saturday, April 26.
Artists are responsible for the delivery and return of their artwork. Submissions may be delivered to MacRostie Art Center during business hours, Monday – Friday, 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm, or mailed to:

In August 2025, MacRostie Art Center (MAC) will host its 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition featuring a collection of local and regional artwork selected by Karen Goulet. This juried exhibition is open to artists working in any medium and residing in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota.

About the juror
Karen Goulet is the Project Director of the Miikanan Gallery at the Watermark Art Center in Bemidji, MN, and a practicing artist, poet, community organizer, and educator. A White Earth Band of Ojibwe member, she is also descended from Metís and Finnish people. She received her BA from The Evergreen State College, MFA in Sculpture from The University of Wisconsin – Madison, and MEd from University of Minnesota Duluth. Her life path has always been a creative path, and she has dedicated her professional and personal life to making, sharing, and encouraging artistic practice.

2026 Exhibition Proposals
DUE: June 30, 2025
MAC has two gallery spaces which each host bimonthly exhibitions and also manages the gallery at the Reif Performing Arts Center. The MAC Exhibit Committee is currently seeking proposals for solo and group exhibitions for 2026.
A solo exhibition proposal should include:
Written proposal outlining the exhibition – please include whether the work has been exhibited at another venue (where and when) and whether the work will be for sale (with approximate price points)
Artist Statement
Biographical Statement and/or Resume
6–10 digital images of your work that are representative of the exhibition proposal
A group exhibition proposal should include:
Written proposal outlining the exhibition – please include whether the work has been exhibited at another venue (where and when) and whether the work will be for sale (with approximate price points)
Biographical Statements and/or Resumes of all participating artists
6–10 digital images that are representative of the exhibition
Proposals are due June 30, 2025.
Notifications will be sent to artists by September 1, 2025.
