We invite proposals from artists, emerging and established, for exhibitions in any media and in any subject area. 
Exhibition proposals are reviewed by the Exhibits Committee, which is made up of MAC staff, board, and community members. 

2019 GROUP EXHIBITION PROPOSALS

 A group exhibition proposal should include:

  • Written proposal outlining the exhibition – please include whether the work has been exhibited at another venue (where and when) and whether the work will be for sale (with approximate price points)
  • Resumes of all participating artists
  • Biographies of all participating artists
  • 6 – 10 digital images representative of the exhibition

Submissions for group exhibition proposals are accepted between March 1st - June 1st, 2018. Artists will be notified of acceptance status on or before August 1st, 2018. Incomplete proposals will not be reviewed.

26th Annual

Juried Show

Juror: Pauline Sameshima

 

 

 

 

In August, the MAC will host its 26th Annual Juried Art Exhibition featuring a collection of local and regional artworks juried by Dr. Pauline Sameshima, an artist and professor who will be exhibiting in the Minnesota Gallery with her recent work inspired by data collected in two of her research projects: one on teacher creativity and the other on women’s birthing experiences.

This juried exhibition is open to artists of any medium who are from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota.

To be considered for the 2018 Juried Show please submit:

  • digital images
  • artist statement (approx. 50 words)
  • application label info for each entry
  • pay $20 application fee

Electronic submissions are preferred, hard copy submissions are accepted but must be received on or before June 1st, 2018.

Submissions for the 26th Annual Juried Exhibition are accepted between February 28th - June 1st, 2018. Artists will be notified of acceptance status on or before July 2nd, 2018.

Little big Show 2018

Featuring: Jane Latimer

 

 

2018 Little big show  

In May 2018, the Minnesota Gallery will be filled with miniature sized artworks for this annual exhibition. This year watercolor painter Jane Latimer will be the featured artist.

The exhibition is also open to any artist to submit one piece that meets the guidelines: artworks must be no larger than 12 inches in any dimension (including frame) and be priced at no more than $100 (or NFS). 

Works in any medium are permitted, and in the past have included ceramic art, sculpture, textile art, collage, watercolor, acrylic and oil paint, drawing, photography and more.

  • Notification deadline: Friday, April 6, 2018
  • Delivery deadline: Saturday, April 28, 2018
  • Opening reception: Friday, May 4, 2018 
  • Exhibition dates: May 4 - 26, 2018
  • Pick up dates: May 29-June 2, 2018

All submitted works must include title, medium, and price and a signed exhibitor's contract.
