Come to downtown Grand Rapids from 4 – 7 pm on Friday, January 6 for the First Friday Art Walk — a fun, free community event that is open to all.

January’s featured artist is Arthur Thomas with mixed media landscapes. Music from 4:30- 6 by students of the Itasca Orchestra and Strings Program. Tip jars will be placed out to raise funds for the student string program. Dinner special until 6:30 and complimentary coffee, lemonade, and cookies.

Visit with artists David Dobbs, Mary Myers Corwin, and Annie Humphrey on the 3rd Floor! Oil painting, pastels and watercolor, fiber arts, mixed media, and more are represented by the artists in this creative space.

Welcoming local writer and contributor to the Herald Review, Harvey Dahline. He will be signing copies of his new book “Dedication to Duty.”

Presenting two new exhibits for January: mixed media illustrations by Elyse-Krista Mische and collage by Karlyn Berg. With food provided by Cub Foods of Grand Rapids, live music from 4 – 6 pm, and artist talks at 6pm.

Celebrate the New Year with our friends from Bemidji Brewing and United Way of 1000 Lakes. Bemidji Brewing will share their story, discuss their brewing process, and have a variety of brews available for sampling for a free will donation. All proceeds from the tasting, and 10% of shop purchases that evening, will support United Way of 1000 Lakes annual campaign.
